We mostly work with Pennsylvania bluestone which is a relatively local material that we dry fit onto a bed of gravel. This creates a semi-permeable surface that lasts for many years without mortar or concrete breaking down. We can also source other stone varieties and some manufactured paver products.

We set path stones on gravel like patio stones so that they do not sink and rotate out of level like garden steppers often do
